The Office...

Week 10 - This week started with a shocking surprise from my office.  They GUESSED that I was pregnant.  It started when Patty Spencer was standing by my desk and I was sitting in my chair.  Mid-sentence she says, "Don't get mad, don't get mad.... Are you pregnant?"  I assume I turned 10 shades of red while I quickly processed my answer, do I lie, do I tell the truth... Of course I confessed and everyone was excited but sworn to secrecy.  Well, as good of secret keepers as they could be...

WEEK 7

May 20th the baby and I ran in the Colfax Marathon relay with some girlfriends in Denver.  Our team name was "RUNNING WITH A MARGARITA IN HAND!"  It was a fundraiser for our non-profit of choice, Adoption Dreams Come True.  My leg was 4 miles and I felt great the entire way.

 

WEEK 8



This was the weekend of our garden.  It was so hot, Jay rigged this shade contraption for me to work under.  It is the only reason I was able to get my small garden in in one afternoon.

While we were visiting PA, Jay found this picture of himself and Grandma Mary when he was a baby... circa 3-4 months old. Darling!

Grandparents are SURPIRSED!!

We had to tell the grandparents "to-be" in an exciting way!  So we made these...

 

We wrapped these board games with spin dials, one for the Colorado Grandparents and one for the Pennsylvania Grandparents.  This is how it went...

In Colorado, we told my parents that we wanted to celebrate their anniversary (April 30th) with dinner and a present.  We decided to have a BBQ at their house and it was highly challenging to get them in the same spot to open their "anniversary" present together.  Well the time finally came, they openned their gift side by side and we almost had to pick them up off the floor.  SURPRISE!!

In Pennsylvania, timing happened as such that we had already scheduled a trip to celebrate Mother's Day in PA.  When we arrived we had a lovely lunch with to be Great Grandpa Chuckie, Great Grandma Mary and Jay's parents where we gave them the "gift."  They too were surprised and happy!

And it's confirmed...

... on May 2, 2012 (a very special day for Auntie Lisa), we confirmed that we were indeed pregnant and the baby will be joining us on or before (or after) JANUARY 5, 2013.

April 28, 2012 came, a Saturday morning, and so did the home confirmation that we were starting our family...

We took two tests, not because we doubted the results (it was NOT faint) but because what would we do with the second one?????  Let the excitment and this life changing experience begin.
