Update on the stomach that was...

Almost 30 weeks and it now takes Jay's and my hands now!!

Baby bump measurements:
Melissa 36.5" (2.25" grow from last month - HA HA), Jay 40" and Brissy went to bed early this time and didn't participate in our measurements.

Baby P is growing strong!! How fantastic!!

Pregnancy Good Luck Charm

I was given this pregnancy good luck charm from Nora at the very beginning of our pregnancy.  The story goes that you receive it from a friend who was recently pregnant and she is passing along the good luck that was passed to her.  You then pass it along after your pregnancy to the next pregnant friend and so forth. 

This has proven to be lucky so far and I keep rubbing the tummy so the good luck continues! 

Week 29 - South Dakota Bound!!!

My 29th week consisted of a fabulous girls weekend in South Dakota celebrating the marriage of dear friends Troy and Kristi Dressler!  Aunt Lisa, Aunt Heather, Baby P and I took off on a road trip headed northeast early Friday morning.  We had some amazing laughs, beautiful pictures of Custer National Park, Mount Rushmore and the wedding.  What a great way to spend a weekend!!!

Uncle Frank in Colorado

Surprise!  Jay's Uncle Frank visited us in Colorado and he got to meet Baby P - 11 B.B. :-)  He spent a great weekend with Jay while I went to South Dakota for a girls weekend!

Week 28

We got all cleaned up and went to the Adoption Dreams Come True fall gala on October 13th.  It was a beautiful night with great friends for a great cause.

At the Baby-Q bash, Nana felt Baby P move for the first time!  It wasn't a huge kick or punch, just a little movement across my tummy... BUT IT COUNTS!!

We had our first baby shower September 29th!!!  Jay, Mom, Dad and I made a quick weekend road trip to Iowa to attend our Baby-Q.  Cousin Jessy and Amanda threw us a beautiful coed party (even though the uncle's were a little skeptical).  We were very spoiled and it was great to see everyone.

25 Weeks and Mr./Mrs. Berry's Wedding -

We got all dressed up for a beautiful wedding for our friends Scott and Katie Berry.  The sunset was amazing...

Week 24 - SIX MONTHS

 

We are SIX MONTHS!!  We celebrated this grand milestone with a family walk to the lake...

Public recognition

September 15, 2012

I had the FIRST TIME a stranger recognized and commented on the growing baby bump.  She was cute and couldn't stop looking at my tummy.  She was genuinely excited for us!! It made me smile.

Our peanut is getting bigger...

September 10, 2012 - Tonight I was sitting on the couch working on the computer and the baby visibly moved through my skin.  Again, an amazing experience to add to our story.  Holy Moly!!  The little one was moving and grooving periodically for about 30 minutes.  Dad even got to see the movement.  This is another moment where you realize the new realities of our adventure and the excitement that it brings.

We are 17 weeks B.B. and counting!!!

Week 22

Ultrasound...

Our week 20 ultrasound came during week 21.  It was a day of mixed emotions.  We were SO excited to see the little bambino(a) again!  We didn't want to find out the sex as we still want that to be the grand surprise at the end of this journey.  (We are taking bets everyone!). 

However, the prep for the ultrasound was horrific.   On my best day, NOT PREGNANT, I do not believe I could drink 40 oz of water finished 30 minutes before the appointment and hold it!!!!!!! I wanted to cry and brought a second set of clothes because I didn't think I would make it.  :-)  Happy to say - I did!

So now there is only ONE person in this world who knows what we are having!!

Golf anyone?

As my baby bump was growing bigger, I had to get ONE last game of golf in.  It was a beautiful day and even my NA beer tasted pretty darn good and my drives... KILLER!
